I likely would hire another company to do a private tour if I came back here.
This tour has the chance to be very successful, but the amount of restrictions and that particular driver left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe the bus driver had a bad experience with other bachelorette parties, but that's no excuse for blatantly lying to us (saying he was the last shuttle when TWO others came by after him). We ended up splitting a bottle of wine at the last winery, and caught the last shuttle with no issues. Extremely irritated at how rude he was, we decided to get off anyway (the winery was open until 6PM, and the instructions we were given at the beginning of the tour said one last shuttle would run right at 5PM). When we attempted to get off the shuttle, the driver literally harassed us, saying that we were going to get stuck there: the winery probably wouldn't serve us, there were no more shuttles, we better find another way home.
We hopped on the shuttle at 4:25, planning on grabbing a quick glass of wine at the last stop.
If you plan on bringing your pooch, make sure you let them know before reserving. Private tours can be arranged to accommodate only the pet-friendly wineries. Prices do not include tasting fees at each individual winery. This vineyard on Highway 290 East features multiple tasting rooms, as well as a patio, pavilion, and fountain seating area for those waiting for a tasting. Picking up from Inn on Barons Creek, the regular tour takes in 16 wineries. The real issue came when we went to visit our last winery. 290 Wine Shuttle welcomes dogs under 25 lbs on coach trips through Texas Hill Country. I would recommend stopping at the bigger wineries (Becker, Grape Creek) - they seem to have it together more than others. We finally made it to one of the bigger wineries (Becker), and although it was crazy busy, the service was much more attentive. Etsi verkosta hotelleja Yhdysvalloista läheltä maamerkkiä 290 Wine Shuttle. The second place we just bought a bottle of wine and a cheese plate and it still took an hour. They were far from busy - only two or three other couples besides our group of 6 and it took an hour to get through a tasting. I was a little taken aback by all the rules, but wrote them down and we were on our way. We had to be picked up from certain wineries before certain times. We couldn't go to certain wineries and expect to be served tastings because of our group size. We were greeted with a host of restrictions - we couldn't go to one of the bigger wineries after a certain time because they had a members only event. It ran from 11 AM to 5 PM, and we were there around 11:30 AM to catch a shuttle to one of the first wineries.
The price was great for a group of 6 girls and I loved the idea of having flexibility to go to whichever winery we wanted to. I planned a bachelorette weekend to Fredericksburg and booked this wine shuttle for a relaxed wine tour on Sunday.
